Location: London College-based (Further Education)
Rate: £300 per day
Contract: Temporary / Interim
We are currently seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to support a Further Education College on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an experienced interim accountant with a strong understanding of FE finance and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with FE sector regulations and funding requirements
- Assist with audits and liaison with external auditors
- Review and strengthen financial controls and processes
- Provide technical accounting support to the wider finance team
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous Further Education experience essential, preferably within a college environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, interim setting
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
