Management Accountant
Location: Home Counties
Salary: £50,000+ (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established finance team within a large Further Education College based in the Home Counties. This is a key permanent role supporting financial planning, reporting, and compliance in a complex FE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning support
- Ensuring compliance with ESFA funding and reporting requirements
- Providing financial insight and support to senior leadership and budget holders
- Supporting audits and statutory returns
- Monitoring funding streams, variances, and performance against targets
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous Further Education experience essential, preferably within a college
- Strong knowledge of ESFA funding rules and submissions
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Confident communicator able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive, organised, and detail-focused
