An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client CK Assessment & Training. We are recruiting for a Trainer Assessor / IQA to provide professional teaching, learning and assessment support to students in line with awarding and funding body requirements and to provide quality assurance to evaluate and enhance the work of other teaching staff.

CK Assessment and Training is an established and well-regarded ACS gas centre, providing a full range of professional grade domestic and commercial gas training and assessments for new and experienced engineers. They are also an approved City and Guilds plumbing centre, offering a wide range of plumbing and heating programmes for those new to the industry through to those developing their skills or progressing in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing internal quality assurance of the work of other delivery staff to ensure that standards are maintained and improved, and that evidence is compliant with awarding body and company expectations.

Providing classroom and workshop based teaching in line with diploma or standard requirements for level 3 plumbing, gas and renewables students.

Identify, design, deliver and evaluate effective learning sessions and materials to prepare students to meet standards required for final assessment. This may include for new programme areas when directed by the Head of Plumbing.

Taking responsibility for management and achievement of a caseload of students, primarily at level 3.

Providing support to students with the development of a portfolio of evidence.

Undertaking assessments, observations, professional discussions, guidance and support and other methods of effective learning and evidence gathering, to encourage timely achievement for students.

Providing clear and effective verbal and written feedback to learners and other stakeholders.

You will hold;

A minimum of level 3 subject specialist qualification.

A1 or equivalent assessor award.

3-5 years industry experience.

CCN1/Gas Safe Registration and range of elements.

V1/D34 or equivalent award in Internal Quality Assurance.
